Winter is the coldest season of the year with the shortest days in the Northern Hemisphere.
In life this symbolises a period of rest, reflection, and preparation for future growth.
Often you âwinter seasonâ arises after a period of difficulty, such as a loss or major change. This season is characterized by the need for withdrawal, solitude, and a testing of your resolve.
Embracing this "wintering" allows for renewal, as it is seen as a necessary and instructive time to rebuild your strength and learn the lessons required before your new opportunities arise in the next season.Â
Plants respond differently to each season, as do we in our personal and professional lives. Each season gives us something to be thankful for, please remember to find the light in even your darkest days. I always say to myself âthis too shall passâ remember that this moment and this chapter wonât last forever.
âď¸ Key meanings of life's âwinterâ season âď¸
⨠Rest and renewal: Just as nature rests and regenerates in winter, this life season is a time for necessary rest and recovery after challenges.
⨠Reflection and introspection: Winter encourages a period of deep thought, solitude, and learning. It is a time to process experiences and prepare for what is to come.
⨠Preparation: This season is crucial for preparation, allowing you to "harvest" lessons and build reserves so you are ready to act when spring arrives.
⨠Testing and resilience: Winter can be a difficult time that tests your resolve, but enduring it builds grit and strength for your future.
⨠Transformation: It represents the end of one cycle and holds the promise of a new beginning, embodying themes of hope, renewal, and transformation.Â
âď¸How to navigate the season âď¸
When youâre in a touch chapter it can be difficult to stay positive and to allow yourself the grace to repair and restore your energy.
A few ways that have helped me during these chapters Iâm sharing with you to remind you to have grace with yourself.
⨠Practice mindfulness: Focus on the present moment without judgment to better experience what is happening. For me this is a walk in nature or sometimes just sitting in a comfy chair in silence, just taking a moment to pause.
⨠Trust your inner strength: Remind yourself of past challenges you have overcome to build confidence in your ability to get through this one.
Remember you were given this chapter because you are strong enough to endure it, these lessons will give you the strength, courage and confidence for your next chapter.
⨠Use it for learning: See it as an instructive season, taking the time to learn and prepare for the future. Remember there is no failure unless you quit⌠Failing is your First Attempt In Learning.
⨠Embrace the quiet: Find a sense of peace in the stillness, much like the quiet of the season, to help you cocoon and build up your reserves.Â
